Aluminium profiles can be cut to precise and even cross-sectional surfaces. The profile's cross-section, alloy, and hardness determine tooth size, the number of teeth, saw blade diameter, and feed rate.
The number of teeth should be sufficient for the chips to be large and round, and the cut surface even. When cutting thin profiles, multiple teeth must always touch the profile simultaneously, and cutting fluid must always be used.
While all common workshop machines can be used for aluminium processing, at Raufoss Aluminium, we often use specially developed equipment for aluminium and aluminium profiles in terms of speed and accuracy.
