Status from Raufoss Aluminium
It has been a challenging, yet positive year for Raufoss Aluminium AS. Like many others, we have faced challenges in an unstable market, but we have chosen to use this time to improve and strengthen our processes. We have experienced closer dialogue with our customers, which has provided us with valuable insights into their needs and how we can best meet them. This has been a positive development that has enhanced our ability to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions.
Throughout the year, we have undergone a generational shift in our customer center, where we have also hired a new manager. It is part of our strategy to ensure that we are always forward-thinking and able to meet our customers' needs in an efficient and professional manner. The new employees, along with the new manager, will bring fresh ideas and perspectives that will elevate our customer service to a new level.
We are now investing in a new, fully automated cutting line that will be operational from January 2025. This investment will enable us to simplify our customers’ production processes, which in turn can lead to reduced costs and shorter lead times to market.
We are also in the process of conducting a tender round for transportation, which will ensure that we can offer faster and more reliable deliveries to our customers in the future.
We are continuously working to strengthen our expertise in all areas. By investing in both people and technology, we ensure that we are prepared to meet the demands of the future. With an increased focus on sustainable solutions and innovative processes, we are well-equipped to help our customers grow in an increasingly demanding market environment.
Lead times and stock replenishment
Even though we currently have good delivery times, we know that the new year is approaching, and our production capacities are quickly filling up.
We therefore urge all our customers to review their needs for aluminium profiles before Christmas and the start of 2025, and to place their orders in good time.
Raufoss Aluminium has one of the most impressive press parks in the Nordic region, with press capacities of 1200, 2200, and 7000 tonnes. This enables us to produce both small, detailed profiles and large structural elements for demanding projects. Our 7000-tonne press, one of the largest in Europe, is specially adapted for the production of complex and demanding products, including profiles made from hard alloys used in the automotive and construction industries.
To ensure that you receive the products you need before Christmas, we recommend that you plan your orders now. Our capacity is filling up quickly, and we are happy to assist you in ensuring smooth delivery before the end of the year.

New fully automated cutting line
New automatic cutting line in operation from January 2025
We are proud to announce our new investment in a fully automated cutting line, which will be operational from February 1st, 2025. This new line will increase our capacity and enable us to serve our customers even more efficiently, with improved precision and faster production processes.
About the new cutting line:
- Cutting:
- The line offers 90° cutting for both short and long lengths, ensuring accuracy and consistent quality for all profiles.
- Profile sizes:
- It can handle lengths from 10 mm to 7200 mm, widths up to 470 mm, and heights up to 205 mm.
- Tolerances:
- Precise cutting tolerances from +/- 0.2 mm to +/- 0.5 mm, depending on the length of the profile.
This investment allows us to expand our existing offerings in profile cutting.
